Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) added some guidelines to the 62616 Bridge navigational watch alarm system (BNWAS) standard.
More specifically, ClassNK requires that a reset device should be provided to each bridge wing. However, if reset devices are located nearby the wheelhouse, making it easy to reset the first stage alarm, bridge wing reset devices are not needed.
Furthermore, when there are three deck officers on board, one deck officer for duty may be selected from the main panel and the alarm in the Captain’s (master) bedroom may be changed to a third stage one.
SELMA Bridge Inspector BNWAS already accommodates the above requirements.
